Tours, transfers & flights

Trips

A trip groups a traveller's separate bookings, a hotel, a transfer, a tour, a flight, under one itinerary. Each booking keeps its own price, policy and lifecycle; the trip is the view that ties them together.

Grouping is non-destructive. Linking a booking into a trip never changes the booking. Unlink it and it stands alone again, exactly as it was.

What a trip gives you

  • One itinerary. Every linked booking in date order, with a combined total per currency.
  • One cancellation quote. The refund and penalty across all members at once, a refundable hotel, a 50%-penalty transfer, a non-refundable flight, shown together.
  • Cancel the whole trip. A single action cancels every member, each under its own policy.

How a trip is built

The traveller, or you, on their behalf, books each product independently. Afterwards the bookings are linked into a trip. The order they were made in does not matter, and a booking belongs to one active trip at a time.

What a trip is not

  • It is not a single price. Members are summed, not merged into one opaque rate; each line keeps its own figure and policy. Selling several services at one inclusive price is a package.
  • It does not move money between members. Each booking settles on its own terms.
  • It is not automatic. Bookings are grouped deliberately, never stitched together by guesswork.
  • It is never promoted into a package. A trip stays a group of independent bookings; a package is a different contract from the first offer. A package booking can, however, be linked into a trip like any other member.
